WHAT TYPE
OF DESIGNS DO YOU CREATE?

body measurements/type. I exclusively create bridal and eveningwear. The designs include
wedding gowns, mother-of-the-bride/groom, bridesmaid gowns, bar/bat mitzvah dresses,

HOW DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS WORK?
The client can stop in the store and browse and/or try on sample gowns (approximately 100
in stock) during store hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday noon
until 6:00 p.m. or Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., closed Wednesdays and Sundays)
or call the store at (860)583-3461 to schedule a complimentary design
session with Kathy to browse through fabrics, styles etc. At this design session, Kathy
will make recommendations for styles, fabrics, colors, etc. for your specific body
type and event. A client can also bring in a photo of a design from a magazine and have it
duplicated in the color/fabric of their choice. Sample fabrics are in stock in
hundreds of colors and types as well as beaded trims/embellishments.
HOW MANY FITTINGS ARE REQUIRED?
Two. After the design is discussed and finalized, the customer will be given an
appointment for their first fitting which is at least one month prior to their event (two
months in advance for bridals). The garment is fully completed for this first fitting with
the exception of the hemline. The client's hemline is determined at this first fitting
based on the heel height they are wearing and any adjustment markings are made for any
weight loss/gain that might have occured since the client was initially
measured. The second fitting the client trys on the gown to assure that they haven't
changed their weight and if they have in fact maintained the same weight/figure, they
take the gown home with them at this second fitting.
CAN A CLIENT BRING IN THEIR OWN FABRICS FOR THE DESIGN?
No. Kathy Faber Designs provides everything.
